BAM! is supporting the Fondazione Scuola dei Beni e Attività Culturali with a new training course for cultural workers

The Project

“Oltre il giardino” (Beyond the garden) is a continuing education and professional development project for the care and management of historic parks and gardens, dedicated to professionals involved in managing them in various capacities: architects, landscapers, botanists, art historians, etc.

The project includes two training pathways: an executive course, for participants selected by public tender and consisting of online lessons and live meetings, and a basic course, exclusively online, open to a wide and more diverse target audience.

“Oltre il giardino” is an initiative developed by the Italian Ministry of Culture, run and implemented by the Fondazione Scuola dei beni e delle attività culturali, with the support of APGI Associazione Parchi e Giardini d’Italia. It is a project funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU as part of the PNRR Cultura 4.0 (National Recovery and Resilience Plan for Culture 4.0).

Why?

During the executive course, a number of face-to-face meetings were organised between April and June 2024 at some of the most important historical villas and parks. In the meetings, the theoretical knowledge acquired online is tested through workshop practices designed to strengthen technical-specialist skills and to practise cross-disciplinary skills.

The Fondazione therefore involved a number of professionals to train and support the participants, including BAM! Strategie Culturali.

How?

BAM! is therefore involved in the meetings at Villa Durazzo (Santa Margherita Ligure, GE) and Villa Pisani (Padua) in the role of facilitator, contributing its skills and experience in audience development, communication and cultural planning.
