R-Educ: implementing a new regional strategy

The “R-EDUC – Le Regioni per l’Educazione alla Cittadinanza Globale: Modelli di governance e buone pratiche” (Regions for Global Citizenship Education: Governance Models and Good Practices) project intends to support the integration of Global Citizenship Education (GCE) into the strategic and planning instruments used by the regions and their stakeholders.

The project is part of initiatives aimed at supporting the development and strengthening of the concept of “citizenship” as belonging to the global community and changing individual and collective awareness and behaviour to achieve a more sustainable world.

R-Educ sees the participation of seven Italian regions (Emilia-Romagna, Piedmont, Marche, Lazio, Liguria, Calabria, Sardinia), the Università di Bologna and two non-profit associations (WeWorld-GVC and Concord) and is financed by AICS – Agenzia Italiana per la Cooperazione allo Sviluppo.

The objective of the Regione Emilia-Romagna, project leader, is to illustrate and raise awareness about the project actions and their results, and to promote awareness of Global Citizenship Education.

Project actions include the organisation of interregional forums that will also involve non-partner Italian regions, with the aim of developing a positive comparison for the transfer of experiences and good governance practices developed in the different regional contexts. The first will be hosted by the Regione Emilia-Romagna in Bologna.

BAM! supported the Regione Emilia-Romagna in the development of a communication strategy, including the activation and launch of the project’s social media channels, which will be managed by BAM! until the conclusion of the initiative in 2025. Furthermore, BAM! supported the Regione in the development of the project’s coordinated identity and its graphic design.

BAM! will also be in charge of organising the first regional forum for the project, to be held in Bologna in September 2023, and the digital and printed graphic materials for its promotion.

Lastly, a number of R-Educ activities will be promoted through online advertising campaigns.
